Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle Trenton Thompson was released from the hospital on Thursday morning, according to WSB-TV's Tyisha Fernandes.
Thompson was reportedly "rushed" to the hospital on Wednesday after a University of Georgia police officer saw Thompson wandering along the road and reported that he "appeared very unsteady on his feet, and his eyes were very bloodshot," per Fernandes.
On Thursday, the University of Georgia Athletics Association released a statement confirming Thompson has stepped away from school for the remainder of the semester as he continues to deal with an unspecified medical condition, per Fernandes:
