KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Volunteers have endured 11 consecutive years of futility against heated rival Florida, and this could be the year when they finally break the streak.
Nobody told the Gators.
They've been confident all week, talking trash and not being shy about it, continuing a trend that started with talented cornerback Jalen Tabor back in the summer. The attitude is a throwback to the old days of those Steve Spurrier-coached UF teams.
Those Gators backed up the swagger, and it'll be interesting to see if these do, too.
Last year, the Vols held a 27-14 fourth-quarter advantage before squandering away the lead to lose by one.
