Mike White is in his second season as Florida basketball coach and was awarded SEC coach of the year after leading the Gators to a 24-8 record this season.
The Gators won nine straight games from late January to late February and got as high as no. 12 in the AP poll. But Florida lost three of their final four games to close the season, including two losses to Vanderbilt.
Florida is no stranger to tournament runs. Under Billy Donovan Florida went to the Final Four as recent as 2014, and they went to three straight Elite Eights from 2011-2013.
