Early enrollees help Texas A&M immediately fill talent void

Like several other SEC teams, Texas A&M was hit by both traditional roster attrition (graduating seniors) and the NFL draft (goodbye, Myles Garrett). The Aggies lost multiple key pieces from their 2016 roster because of those two things, including their most valuable defensive player (Garrett) and most valuable offensive player (quarterback Trevor Knight).

But Kevin Sumlin and his staff have recruited well in the 2017 cycle -- the Aggies have the nation’s eighth-ranked recruiting class -- and the good news is that the best players they acquired are already on campus. Seven of their 2017 recruits have already enrolled for classes, including their top five-ranked prospects.
