The Florida Gators suspended star receiver Demarcus Robinson for a violation of team rules ahead of Saturday's regular-season finale against the in-state rival Florida State Seminoles.
Brett McMurphy of ESPN.com reported the news before kickoff at the Swamp in Gainesville, and Florida confirmed the suspension on Twitter.
Robinson ranks first on the Gators with 47 receptions this season. CBS Sports projects him to be a third-round pick, should he choose to enter the 2016 NFL draft. A discouraging pattern of behavior may diminish Robinson's pro prospects, though, as the Associated Press' Mark Long noted:
