KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Volunteers coach Butch Jones sat hunched over in his chair, feet away from Vol Network play-by-play man Bob Kesling. He looked down at the ground, smile faint.
As soon as Kesling cut to break by announcing Tennessee’s 38-28 win over Florida, Jones’ smile curled from ear to ear.
“Can you say it one more time … beat the Florida Gators?” Jones said.
It was as if a semi-truck had been lifted off Jones’ shoulders, as he became the first Tennessee coach since Phillip Fulmer back in 2004 to defeat rival Florida.
