BATON ROUGE, La. -- In a back-alley brawl between dominant Alabama and LSU defenses, LSU finally was the one to break.
The Tigers forced Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts into two turnovers and also stopped him for a loss on a fourth-and-goal run, but Alabama's freshman broke loose for a 21-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter that helped the top-ranked Crimson Tide pull away for a 10-0 win Saturday night at Tiger Stadium.
The game was a throwback to many of the classic matchups between the two SEC West rivals -- fittingly, it was the first FBS game this season to open the fourth quarter with a 0-0 score -- chock full of big defensive stops and jaw-rattling hits.
