Another big game by Brandon Harris helps LSU pull away from Western Kentucky

BATON ROUGE, La. – Missing multiple defensive starters, No. 5 LSU faced a daunting challenge from Western Kentucky’s prolific offense on a rainy Saturday at Tiger Stadium.

At times, the Tigers’ defense looked totally lost without injured regulars Christian LaCouture, Tre’Davious White and Jalen Mills in the lineup, but a second-half surge helped LSU pull away for a 48-20 win.

Western Kentucky (6-2) still generated 428 yards of total offense – led by quarterback Brandon Doughty’s 325 passing yards and three touchdowns – but the Tigers (7-0) remained undefeated thanks to a career-high 286 passing yards from Brandon Harris and two key takeaways by sophomore Jamal Adams.
