After statement wins, are Alabama and Florida on a collision course?

Can you believe we’re already past the halfway point of the season? It feels like yesterday when Georgia scored a major win against North Carolina in Kirby Smart’s debut. And it wasn’t long ago that Les Miles was still the coach at LSU.

Oh, how the times have changed.

Smart’s appeal is quickly fading, with some Georgia fans already beginning to question the hire. LSU, meanwhile, has been trending in the positive direction since interim coach Ed Orgeron took over for Miles after the Auburn game. Orgeron is 2-0, and if he keeps it up, he might earn the job permanently.
