Like a lot of college football programs with deep pockets, Tennessee pours money into an in-house video department. It's a part of its marketing arm, a savvy way of increasing fan engagement and promoting the team to recruits. Nary a practice went by this spring and fall without a coach or player interview updating the status of the team heading into the season.
But visit Tennessee's official YouTube page and you won't find a single frame of last Thursday's opening game against Appalachian State. No highlights. No postgame interviews with coach Butch Jones, quarterback Josh Dobbs or any other players.
