The Florida Gators earned a big addition to its secondary with the commitment of Cajuan Smith, the 4-star safety announced on Tuesday:
Bob Redman of Scout.com initially provided news of the player's decision.
"It's close to home," Smith said, per Ryan Bartow of 247 Sports. "It's family-oriented. And it's great education-wise."
Smith is a top recruit out of Florida, considered the No. 16 safety in the country by Scout.com. He is also the No. 169 player overall in the 2018 class.
The talented player has outstanding size for the position at 6'3" and 190 pounds.
