Vanderbilt picked up their first commitment of the 2016 recruiting class.
2016 guard Payton Willis verbally committed to Vanderbilt, he tells Scout. "I came on an unofficial visit and fell in love with the campus, Coach [Kevin] Stallings and his staff, and the academic prestige of the school as well," Willis told Scout. Willis, who took his unofficial visit on Tuesday, said he also strongly considered Minnesota, Dayton, Lehigh, Rice, Western Kentucky and Tulsa. "I fit in great with their style of play," he added. Willis is Vanderbilt’s first pledge of the 2016 recruiting class.
