In 2014, the Mississippi State football team went 10-3 and were led by quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Josh Robinson. Prescott threw for 3449 yards and 27 touchdowns while being praised by the media and postseason award voters.
The Bulldogs lost a lot of top contributors on both sides of the ball heading into the 2015 season. Mississippi State lost Robinson, kicker Evan Sobiesk, who went 12-14 on field goal attempts in 2014, their second most targeted receiver Jameon Lewis and two of three top tacklers on defense (Christian Holmes and Benardrick McKinney).
