Week 7 of the SEC Football was full of great performances, both team and individual. While there are several players worth of consideration that just missed out, we've narrowed it down to the Top 5. Here are the five best SEC player performances from Week 7.
5) WR Pharoh Cooper -- South Carolina Gamecocks
South Carolina picked up their first SEC win of the season (19-10 over Vanderbilt) in their first game since head coach Steve Spurrier resigned, and Cooper was the biggest reason why. The junior wideout caught seven passes for 160 yards and touchdown, giving the Gamecocks some much-needed offense.
4) QB Dak Prescott -- Mississippi State Bulldogs
Mississippi State found themselves down early to Louisiana Tech but pulled out a convincing 45-20 win thanks to the all-around play of Prescott, who passed for 347 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 34 more yards and another score.
3) RB Leonard Fournette -- LSU Tigers
What can't this kid do? Fournette was his usual productive self against the Gators, carrying LSU to a 35-28 win over Florida thanks to 180 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
1b) DB Minkah Fitzpatrick -- Alabama Crimson Tide
The freshman had a real breakout performance against Texas A&M, picking off Aggies quarterback Kyle Allen twice - and returning both of those interceptions for touchdowns. Expect big things for Fitzpatrick in his career.
1a) RB Derrick Henry -- Alabama Crimson Tide
While Ftizpatrick was dominant on defense, Henry was just as dominant (if not more so) on offense for the Tide. He rumbled for 236 yards and two touchdowns on just 32 carries, extending his streak of 12 consecutive games with a rushing touchdown. Henry's deadly combination of power and speed has proven to be unstoppable this year - and has him firmly in the thick of the Heisman race.
