1.) Arden Key DE - LSU
The athleticism from a young player who is 6'6" and 260 pounds is simply jaw-dropping. Not only is he a freak athlete, he is dedicated to improving his skills and LSU coaches rave how he is hardworking and truly wants to be great. This season he has four sacks and 30 tackles which is impressive considering the number of double teams he faces on weekly bases. His upside is off the charts with his frame and for that reason, he will be the first defensive player taken in the 2018 NFL draft.
2.) Minkah Fitzpatrick S - Alabama
The most dynamic player in the country on defense is named Minkah Fitzpatrick. He is a safety but can play multiple positions on the field. He is a swiss army knife at Alabama giving offensive coordinators nightmares. He truly is the total package with his size, speed, football IQ, and athletic ability. He will be a cornerstone of a defense in the NFL for many years.
3.) Ken Webster CB- Ole Miss
Webster may be the best cover corner coming into the NFL Draft in 2018. His ability to recognize plays and limit separation for wide receivers is extremely impressive. His lateral quickness is unmatched and his quick feet and ability to track the ball are why he will be a no doubt first rounder in the 2018 NFL Draft. His best trait may be the hardest to measure and that's heart, after sustaining a horrible injury in 2016 he has worked extremely hard to come back better than ever and that attitude shows up every game and is contiguous in the locker room.
4.) Da'Ron Payne DT - Alabama
Payne is a big boy at 6'2" and 320 pounds but don't let the size fool you because he is very athletic and fast for being so large. He is a wrecking ball in the battle of the trenches stuffing running lanes. The play on the field has matched the hype coming into this season where he has 34 tackles and one sack. In a year dominated by running backs in the NFL, Payne will be a no doubt first rounder as arguably the best run stopper in this year's draft.
