Werder Bremen are confident that they will sign U.S. international attacker Jordan Morris, CEO Thomas Eichin has said.
Morris, 21, joined Bremen on trial at their winter training camp in Turkey last week and set up a goal for attacker Claudio Pizarro in his first match for the club on Friday.
Local paper Kreiszeitung noted that "Morris looked exhausted" after a week of training with the Bundesliga outfit.
But speaking to Weser Kurier on Monday, Eichin said a deal for Morris, whose MLS rights are held by the Seattle Sounders, was close.
