The Seattle Humane Society visited Sounders practice on Thursday morning at Starfire Sports Complex, and though coach Sigi Schmid admitted that his family dog growing up was a Cocker Spaniel named Rusty, he declined to tell any stories “because they would incriminate me.”
The Sounders practiced for more than an hour and a half before posing for photo ops with the handful of canines in attendance.
“It’s great,” Schmid said. “The guys worked hard today. It was a really good practice. The attitude was good and the spirit was good. That’s what pets are for people: They make you smile and bring joy to our life.
