Preparations for the Tokyo Olympics continue apace for the USWNT, with the Summer Series kicking off today in Houston. The early game sees Jamaica face off against Nigeria at 2:30 PM PT, with the USWNT taking on Portugal in the nightcap at 5:30 PM PT; that game will air on FS1. The United States is currently on a 39-game unbeaten streak, the third-longest in their history.
The 23 players Vlatko Andonovski called in for the United States will be competing for 18 spots on the Olympic roster. Andonovski has said that while the majority of spots are already settled, a few positions are still up for grabs and performances in these three games will be important as he makes those final decisions.
