Here we are, back at it again with the Open Cup! We all know what happened in last year’s Open Cup campaign. Since it was the start of everything bad that happened last season, I pushed it out of my memory but if you need a recap of the God-awful refereeing, Dempsey’s terrible (but beautiful) reaction, and the injury that kept Oba out for most of the summer, you can find a review here. I don’t want to deal with it though.
Anyway, back to today. Seattle is paired against the Kitsap Pumas, a team based in Bremerton, Washington and plays in the USL Premier Development League, which is considered to be the top-level men’s amateur soccer league in the United States.
