United States U-18 men’s national team head coach Omid Namazi has called in three Seattle Sounders Academy players for the U.S.’ first 2017 training camp.
Goalkeeper Trey Muse (Tukwila, Wash.) and midfielders Jake Morris (Kirkland, Wash.) and Stirling Russell (Bellevue, Wash.) will join 25 other players from Jan. 23-30 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. The U-18s will scrimmage U-17 players who are currently in the residency program at IMG Academy.
“The purpose of this camp is to identify new talent and expand our pool of players,” Namazi said. “For this camp, we have invited back some of the core players that we’ve identified through the last year.
