Argentina came out guns blazing Saturday night against Venezuela, ending the Venezuelan Cinderella story. Messi and Co. easily dispatched a Venezuela team that gave other big name teams, such as Mexico and Uruguay, so much trouble in the group stages. This great display of dominance and the fact that Messi started his first game of the tournament on Saturday gives United States fans something to worry about going into Tuesday’s match-up.
One bright spot for the United States will be the return of Deandre Yedlin to the United States’ backline. His pace will be able to help deal with the always dangerous Argentine attack, especially if Di Maria will be playing on the same side as Yedlin.
