Two products of the Seattle Sounders Academy have been named to the United States U-20 team that will travel to Europe for a 10-day training camp and three friendlies. Both Sam Rogers and Jake Morris have been made eligible for tonight’s S2 game, after which they’re expected to join the U20s in Alicante, Spain.
That the list of 25 players included SamRogers, a center back currently signed to S2, wasn’t particularly surprising. Rogers is considered one of the Sounders’ top prospects and has been included in previous youth national teams.
Slightly more surprising is the inclusion of Jake Morris.
