Toronto FC midfielders Michael Bradley and Will Johnson will each miss the next six weeks of the season, the club announced Friday, starting with Saturday’s home match against the Sounders.
Bradley, the captain of the U.S. men’s national team, sprained his knee during the third-place match of Copa America Centenario. Johnson suffered a tibial plateau fracture in stoppage time of Toronto’s Canadian Championship series win over Vancouver.
The Sounders, meanwhile, are approaching full health, with defender Roman Torres the only player ruled out with his knee injury and forward Clint Dempsey questionable after returning from USMNT duty earlier in the week.
