With Liam Ridgewell (quad), Jake Gleeson (hamstring) and David Guzman (yellow card accumulation) already ruled out, Timbers coach Caleb Porter confirmed on Friday and Fanendo Adi would not be making the trip either. Adi has six career goals against the Sounders, more than any Timbers player.
There was one bit of a good news for them on the injury front, though, as it was announced Dairon Asprilla would be available despite need medical attention following Wednesday’s win over the Colorado Rapids. Asprilla’s ailment was apparently dizzy and suffering from dehydration.
