One of the best things about college isn’t just learning about new skills, it’s exploring and expanding on existing interests. We think that’s the sweet spot for YachtCollege, and TDO 017: Creative Cocktailing is a wonderful example.
Led by resident cocktail nerd Dr. Matt Powell, Will Bruin and I learned to make three distinct drinks. The first was, admittedly, a bit complicated. It involved several steps that included a blender, a strainer and freshly brewed tea. We also got a nice bit of education on the origins of “punch” and the pleasures of extending whatever booze you may have on hand.
