Emanuel Cecchini’s loan to the Seattle Sounders is only awaiting the final signature of Malaga CF’s owner, according to a report in Malaga Hoy. The report also had quite a few details of Cecchini’s potential loan. Among the highlights:
- The loan would be through the 2020 season, not just six months as previously reported.
- The Sounders would pay a relatively small loan fee of $180,000.
- Seattle would also need to carry Cecchini’s full salary, which is apparently about $1.12 million.
- At the end of the loan, the Sounders have an option to buy 50 percent of Cecchini’s rights for about $2.
