The Tacoma Defiance are coming off of their best played match of the season. They were better than the USL Championship Western Conference’s best team for 80 minutes. Unfortunately the Defiance blinked near the end and Phoenix brought the full force of their USL dominating attack down on them.
That makes tonight’s match at Cheney Stadium against San Antonio FC an important psychological test for the Defiance and its players. Will they focus on the positive parts of their last match; will it make them think they can compete with any team in the league; will they continue to work on the same attack that was successful against Phoenix or will they live in the last ten minutes of the match and sink into despair; will they feel like they can’t beat anyone even when they play their best; will it discouraging them from trying?
