LAS VEGAS, NEV. – Tacoma Defiance (2-5-1, 7 points) fell 3-1 on the road to Las Vegas Lights FC (1-3-1, 4 points) on Wednesday evening at Cashman Field. Azriel Gonzalez scored the lone goal for the visitors as Defiance dropped its third consecutive match following a three-game unbeaten run at the beginning of the league’s restart.
The home side jumped out to a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Junior Burgos, Rashawn Dally and Junior Sandoval. Tacoma added a late strike in the 84th minute via Gonzalez, his first goal of the season. Wednesday’s match was a re-scheduled fixture from last Wednesday, after Lights FC had a positive COVID-19 test within the club.
