In what might be their last match until July with anything like a full squad, the Seattle Sounders missed out on a golden opportunity to pad their point total. Arguably their worst half of the year — non-LAFC edition — put them in a 2-0 halftime hole and a galant comeback attempt fell short. Despite goals from Raúl Ruidíaz and Kelvin Leerdam, the Sounders fell 3-2 to a Sporting KC side that hadn’t won since March.
