With a little better finishing, the Seattle Sounders probably could have put up another seven-spot. Instead, they’ll have to settle for their seventh multi-goal victory of the season, beating the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 on Saturday.
João Paulo and Raúl Ruidíaz goals were supplemented by an own-goal, while the only one the Sounders allowed was a highly questionable penalty. The Sounders finished with nearly 70% of the possession and out shot the Whitecaps 22-3, failing to convert some of their best chances.
