FULLTIME: The Sounders fell 2-1 to Sporting KC on Sunday. It marked Sporting KC’s first win of the season after going 0-7-3 in their first 10 and the Sounders’ first home loss. The Sounders fell behind early on a 4th minute goal from Erik Thommy and spent most of the first half looking totally out of sort, going into halftime down 2-0.
The second half was better as players changed positions, and after Nicolás Lodeiro converted a penalty it looked like the Sounders had life. Their best chance came when Albert Rusnák found Jordan Morris at the back post, but his sliding shot went just wide.
