In the early MLS years for Seattle, the LA Galaxy were the dominant team. Under Bruce Arena and with Donovan, Beckham, Keane, and Gonzalez, they were the envy of all. Galaxy captured trophies and global attention.
Those days are gone. Seattle Sounders are now the signature side in MLS, while LA doesn’t even have the attention of Los Angeles. Galaxy’s last trophy was in 2014, and over the past four years they’ve been more likely to put up a large negative goal differential than make the playoffs.
