The Sounders have unveiled their full schedule of activities ahead of Saturday afternoon’s Pride Day match against New York City FC, starting late Wednesday afternoon and culminating in that nationally televised game.
Captain Brad Evans and goalkeeper Stefan Frei will be handing out Pride-themed cupcakes in Pioneer Square from 4 to 5 p.m. today, and forward Jordan Morris will be signing autographs on Thursday during that same timeframe at 356 Denny Way.
Ed Murray, Seattle’s current and first openly gay mayor, will be honored with the team’s Golden Scarf prior to Saturday match, and the first 50,000 fans to arrive will receive pride flags.
