It’s the time of year when the US Open Cup comes to town with the first round of the tournament kicking off May 9 and 10 with two Seattle-based sides facing off.
Sounders 2 may be barred from competing under the “owned or controlled by a higher division side” but Sounders FC U23s are not and they open the tournament as an “away” side against Kent-based OSA FC, who play in the NPSL and qualified under an at-large bid.
OSA FC usually plays their home matches at French Field in Kent but this match will be played Memorial Stadium at Seattle Center.
