The Seattle Sounders have signed forward Oalex Anderson to a first-team contract, rewarding a player whose standout 2015 with S2 earned him an invitation to preseason camp.
Anderson, 20, scored four goals in seven starts and 16 appearances for S2 last season. He’s also already earned 20 caps with the St. Vincent and the Grenadines national team, notably opening the scorer against the United States in a World Cup qualifier last year his team ultimately dropped 6-1.
“It’s exciting to see our development system at work in signing one of our standout S2 players to the First Team,” Sounders general manager Garth Lagerwey said in the club release.
