The Sounders agreed to an intraleague loan with Los Angeles FC, sending midfielder Aaron Kovar, a Seattle native, to Southern California for the 2018 campaign and granting LAFC the option to buy his rights at the end of the season.
The four-year pro has made 44 appearances across all competitions for Seattle since signing as a Homegrown Player in 2014, scoring three goals, in addition to registering 25 appearances and two goals for Sounders FC 2 in USL action.
“This is an excellent opportunity for Aaron to gain playing experience and further his development as a player with exposure to another club,” said Sounders GM Garth Lagerwey.
