UPDATE: The Sounders have canceled plans to travel to Southern California for the penultimate week of preseason and instead scheduled two additional matches against USL opponents to be played locally.

The Seattle Sounders will begin preseason training on Monday at Starfire Sports Complex where they’ll stay for about five weeks before spending one week in Southern California from April 6-11 and then return home ahead of their April 17 MLS regular-season opener, the team announced on Friday.
