TUKWILA, Wash. — The Seattle Sounders wrapped up their last practice Saturday morning before they flew down to San Jose for their pivotal matchup with the Earthquakes, and the main question was whether midfielder and Designated Player Nicholas Lodeiro was sufficiently recovered from his lower back injury to be a factor in Sunday’s game.
Lodeiro went through training Saturday, though he was not fully involved in the session.
“It’ll still be a game day decision,” head coach Brian Schmetzer said after the session. “He did more training today and he got fitted with his new flak jacket — his custom-made flak jacket — so he did pretty good today.
