TUKWILA, Wash. — Perhaps the most notable tidbit to come out of the first official day of Seattle Sounders preseason was about a player who isn’t currently with the team.
Coming off a sophomore season in which Jordan Morris slumped from 12 goals to three while battling injury and moving between forward and midfielder, head coach Brian Schmetzer said stability is the goal.
“We’re going to try and settle that for his benefit,” Schmetzer said. “When you have multiple positions, it helps coaches sometimes because we can plug him into different spots. But for Jordan’s development, I want to fine-tune that a little bit.
