On Monday night Brian Sciaretta, an MLS and USMNT writer for American Soccer Now, tweeted out that he’s hearing that the Seattle Sounders are expected to sign goalkeeper Trey Muse to a Homegrown Player contract.
As Brian says, Trey Muse has been playing with Indiana University for the last two years. During his time in Indiana, Trey has racked up all sorts of accolades. Both during his freshman and sophomore years, Trey set record records and won tournament, conference, and national awards.
Should Muse sign with the Sounders, it is expected that he would slot in as the starter for the not-yet-named Tacoma Sounders’ USL team next season, while splitting time as the #2 keeper for the first team with Bryan Meredith behind Stefan Frei.
