It looks like the Seattle Sounders may be narrowing their search for a U22 attacking talent. A report out of Brazil says the Sounders are in negotiations with Brazilian club Palmeiras for 22-year-old attacking player Wesley. A Sounders source confirmed Wesley is a player they’ve been tracking.
The report in Globo says Palmeiras declined the Sounders’ initial offer but have sent a counter-proposal and that the São Paulo-based club is interested in making some sales in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Wesley has spent the last two seasons with Palmeiras after breaking out as a 19-year-old with Vitoria in Serie B while on loan.
