"I thought we, as a unit, and I don't mean just the players, we as a unit -- coaching staff, players, you know -- we beat ourselves today." -Sigi Schmid
Not much went right in this match. The defense gave up three goals, the offense struggled to create dangerous chances, and the Sounders return home with no points. This was not the Rapids of last year, instead it's a team at 2 points per game, with 5 wins out of 8 played, and they just added Jermaine Jones. Losing away to the Rapids without several starters was probably expected, but that doesn't make it any easier to swallow.
