TUKWILA, Wash. — In the midst of the many narratives surrounding Wednesday night’s Gold Cup win by the United States over Martinique, a handful of them are rather important to the Seattle Sounders. Both Cristian Roldan and Jordan Morris started for the USA, and Jordy Delem started for Martinique. Roldan (finally) earned his first cap for his country, and put in a solid, if fairly unassuming, performance. Morris played the hero by scoring a brace that won the match for the Americans—and saved his defense’s blushes.
