Sounders injury updates: Erik Friberg out with MCL strain, no timetable for return

Seattle Sounders midfielder Erik Friberg had to come off after only 17 minutes against Real Salt Lake for what Sigi Schmid said today was an MCL strain: "we don't really know how severe, how long it might take" for Friberg to return to training.

Nelson Haedo Valdez, according to Schmid, is "not as bad, we'll see in the next few days" regarding a knock he took to his thigh against Real Salt Lake. Jordan Morris, who was also forced off against RSL with what seemed to be a head injury, is "fine" according to Schmid. Morris was jogging during training with other first team players like Cristian Roldan and Andreas Ivanschitz.
