Sounders FC today selected two players on the first day of the 2020 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas. Both coming in the second round, the Rave Green took UNC Wilmington defender Danny Reynolds with the 35th overall pick, then chose UNLV midfielder Timo Mehlich with the 52nd overall selection.
Reynolds, 22, was named the 2019 Colonial Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year while earning First Team All-CAA and NCCSIA All-State recognition in his senior year. He was the Seahawks’ second-leading scorer with four goals and 13 points in 2019. As a junior in 2018, he was named to the All-Tournament Team at the CAA Championship after scoring a goal against Hofstra in the semifinals.
