SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC forward Raúl Ruidíaz has been voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week for the sixth week of the 2020 MLS season. Ruidíaz scored two goals and added an assist on Sunday evening in Seattle’s 3-0 win over Portland at Providence Park.
After over 70 minutes of scoreless play, Ruidíaz put Seattle on the board in the 72nd minute, meeting a low cross from Joevin Jones at the near post for a one-touch finish at a sharp angle, hitting the crossbar before bouncing off the back of Portland goalkeeper Steve Clark into the net.
