TUCSON, ARIZ. - Darwin Jones scored his second goal of the preseason Saturday evening in a 2-1 Sounders FC loss to the Portland Timbers at Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Arizona. In the second match of the 2016 preseason presented by adidas, Jones put the Rave Green up first but were unable to overcome a late second-half brace from Timbers forward Jack McInerney as Seattle fell to its Cascadia rivals.
The Rave Green began the scoring in the 53rd minute when Jones received a ball on the left flank, made a swift cut into the area and tucked a shot that struck the inside of the near post before going into the net.
