As the Seattle Sounders continue the 2017 preseason with the Carolina Challenge Cup, they do so with a 30-man roster that seems close to set for the year, barring new additions and expected S2 signings at the tail end of the squad.
Gone are several trialists and Sounders academy players who were guests with the first team in Tucson for the Desert Friendlies. Of those who featured in the Tucson games, defenders Jake Stovall and Gale Agbossoumonde didn’t make the cut. Neither did midfielders Dominic Oduro or Shandon Hopeau.
Two young academy players remain with the team; defender Jake Morris and mid Sam Rogers are with the squad in Charleston.
