While they wait to see whether they can land Paraguayan star Derlis Gonzalez, the Sounders made a depth move Monday that brings Federal Way native Lamar Neagle back to the Emerald City for a fourth stint.
Neagle, 30, an attacking midfielder and forward, was acquired from D.C. United for the Sounders’ fourth round pick in next year’s MLS SuperDraft. He sits fourth in all-time Sounders goals with 26 scored during stints in 2009, 2011 and 2013-15 with the club.
“He’s as safe a late season pickup as you’re going to make,” Sounders general manager Garth Lagerwey said.
