The Seattle Sounders have entered into a “strategic partnership” with the group that owns Liga MX team Santos Laguna, the team announced on Thursday.
While details of what all that will entail were not released, their first joint action will be hosting a vaccine clinic and rally at Sea Mar Museum of Chicano/a/Latino/a Culture in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle on Monday from 5-9 PM. The next day the Sounders will host Santos Laguna in the Leagues Cup semifinals.
In addition to providing free Covid-19 vaccines through Sea Mar Health, each person who receives a shot will get two free tickets to Tuesday’s match.
